Why Movement Collective?

As leaders in the Pilates industry, we have a genuine desire to see you thrive. Our highly qualified Pilates, health and wellness experts ensure you achieve goals and see results fast. We understand your time is precious, so we make sure every movement counts.

Positive movement is powerful, and particularly useful in healing. Our instructors are highly experienced and able to assist you in your injury recovery if required. It’s all about giving you an authentic and enjoyable experience in a beautiful space. And you can be sure there are no hidden fees or lock in contracts.

We have two bright and airy studios located in Sydney, both fully equipped with top of the line apparatus. Below, you’ll discover how to make the most at Movement Collective from your initial consultation to your weekly visits.

So, why an initial consultation?

An initial consultation is all about you. It’s an opportunity for your instructor to discover your personal goals, learn about your movement history, and any past or current injuries you may have. We want to know why you decided to start Pilates. At the end of this session, your instructor will have a tailored program that works toward your goals. It’s the perfect time to ask any lingering questions you may have, and gain a good understanding of what to expect moving forward. Initial consultations are required for any one new to our studios regardless of experience.

What’s the difference between studio sessions and mat/reformer classes?

Your initial consult is the key to studio sessions. We make sure you have a personal program that’s safe and tailored to your body and goals. This is fabulous for targeted results and injury recovery. It also means our instructors can work with you efficiently in a small group environment (max. four) using studio Pilates equipment.

Our group sessions are suitable for clients who have previous Pilates experience and are injury free. These classes take all participants through the same safe sequences, modifying the prescribed movements when relevant. These group classes are cost-effective for people who want to move regularly, and feature matwork or the reformer using small apparatus to enhance movements.

How do you make bookings?

All Movement Collective classes are by appointment only. We have made it super easy to make a booking through our online booking system or through the MINDBODY app. Alternatively, you can set up a reoccurring booking for the duration of your prepaid sessions with admin and not have to worry about managing your schedule at all until your next purchase.

Appointments can be scheduled between 7am and 8pm, Monday to Thursday, and 6am to 3pm on Friday and Saturday, subject to availability. Please note group sessions may be cancelled if bookings do not exceed two persons and instructor changes may occur.

How does our online booking system work?

For more information on how to use our booking system, please see the document attached. For any further enquiries, don’t hesitate to email info@movementcollective.com.au or phone us at your chosen studio.

Why is our cancellation policy 24 hours?

Our sessions are small in numbers and high in demand. Should you wish to cancel, you can do so up to 24 hours prior to the session starting, or simply reschedule for the same day to avoid penalty. This allows other clients a chance to attend our popular sessions. If we can fill your spot inside of the 24 hour cancellation, you may not be charged.

Pilates seems expensive, is it really worth it?

To provide individually tailored sessions to each of our valued clients, our teachers need a level of skill and expertise beyond what’s provided in a large group class. Our pricing structure is based on the level of specialist training our teachers have undergone, with all studio instructors having completed a minimum 18 months training plus 300 work experience hours in Pilates instruction.

Our Pilates may seem to be at a higher cost than a standard gym class, however not only are we providing you with top quality instruction, state of the art equipment and beautiful clean facilities, we will have you on track to feeling the best you can in no time!

We recommend you attend regular Pilates sessions to really see the benefits, however we understand that this may not always be affordable. That’s why we have introduced our group fitness classes, to offer you the opportunity to move under quality instruction in a safe environment at a lower price point. We recommend you practice Pilates 2-3 times per week for optimal benefits.

Initial consultations are our first one on one session with the client. This is required for all new clients or clients that have had a break for 6 months or more.
