Shauna is a former professional dancer who worked overseas from the age of 18 cruising around the world with Costa Cruises and remained in Europe performing in several theatres before finishing up at Moulin Rouge in Paris.
On her return to Australia and whilst completing a Bachelor of Business at university, Shauna had her introduction to Pilates, when a physiotherapist recommended it for ongoing back pain caused by an old dance injury. After trying Pilates with several practitioners over the years she finally discovered Movement Collective in 2015 and has been a client ever since!
Shauna found Pilates particularly supportive during her pregnancy and integral for building strength and stamina to keep up with a very busy toddler! As a result, she decided to leave her corporate life behind and is currently completing her Diploma. Shauna loves the positive effect that Pilates has on the body and mind and that EVERYONE can do it! With a special interest in women’s health, particularly pre and post-natal, Shauna is looking forward to extending her studies in the future to complement her Pilates instruction.
