Mat & Reformer
We recommend you attend regular Pilates sessions to really see the benefits, however we understand that this may not always be affordable. That’s why we have introduced our group fitness classes at our Pymble studio, to offer you the opportunity to move under quality instruction in a safe environment at a lower price point. We recommend you practice Pilates 2-3 times per week for optimal benefits.
What’s the difference between studio and group classes?
Our studio sessions require all participants to take place in an initial assessment prior to joining in, this is to ensure that we can set you up with a relevant, safe program for your body and work you efficiently as we can in a small group environment. The main difference is that each participant follows an individual program. Our group sessions are suitable for clients who have previous Pilates experience and are injury free, these classes work by taking all participants through the same program and modifying the prescribed exercises when relevant.
These group classes are cost-effective for people who want to move regularly, and feature a range of matwork or reformer exercises using small apparatus to enhance movements.
These classes do not require an initial consult before joining, but we do however recommend you participate in at least 5-10 Beginner mat & reformer classes before joining a more intermediate level.
These classes still have a strong emphasis on proper Pilates techniques, and although will have you moving quickly and working hard, are not cardio based classes.
