Happy Pilates Day ❤️ From the @thepilatesexpo an Happy Pilates Day ❤️ From the @thepilatesexpo and our Surry Hills studio where the beautiful @thinkpilates_kim captured some of the studio fun this morning
We don’t call ourselves Pilates teachers by accide We don’t call ourselves Pilates teachers by accident. Most people have experienced Pilates as being told what to do. Follow along. Keep up. Do it like this. But bodies don’t work like that. No two are the same. No two need the same thing. And no two should be taught the same way. So we don’t teach to a class. We teach the body in front of us. We watch. We adjust. We explain. Because it’s not about getting through the workout. It’s about understanding your body. Why it works. Where you feel it. What changes when you adjust. Not just movement. Understanding. That’s where things shift. Pilates for you, not the person next to you. Happy Hundreds
From the outside, it can look chaotic. Four peopl From the outside, it can look chaotic. Four people. Four different programs. Different equipment. Different cues. But it’s not chaos. It’s considered. Because no two bodies are the same. So why would their movement be? At Movement Collective, we don’t teach “a class.” We teach the body in front of us. That means: – adjusting in real time – responding to what we see – meeting you where you’re at (not where you think you should be) Because Pilates isn’t about keeping up. It’s about understanding your body and learning how to move it well. Your program. Your body. Happy Hundreds
12 months of Movement Collective 💫 Surry Hills 💫 12 months of Movement Collective 💫 Surry Hills 💫 It feels like no time at all… and somehow like we’ve always been here. (Time is funny like that.) In the past year we’ve: – kicked goals in our own Pilates and in business – watched you show up, learn, and progress with every session – sent incredible teachers out into the world – welcomed new ones into the fold – grown our education arm – built meaningful connections within this industry – launched Pilates & Pages book club (because apparently we can’t stop talking about books in our sessions) – presented, attended, learned, evolved And through it all… we’ve kept doing what we believe in most: Teaching the body in front of us. Keeping things personal. Making every session count. But truly — where would we be without you? Thank you for showing up. For growing with us. For sticking with us through layout changes (and more layout changes 😅), new systems, new teachers, and new ways of doing things. We’ve always believed in community. And what’s been built here over the past year is something really special. They say it takes a village — and we have to say, we’re pretty chuffed with ours. Happy Hundreds Here’s to many more. 💯
